The "error RC2173 : file .\xxx.rc is not a valid animated cursor/icon RIFF file" was present only in Chinese (CN and TW) and Korean resources. If you recently modified the resource files of the project you might want to check if you added a "©", "½", "¼" or "╣" characters in your code. That might trigger this issue in RC.
